Saga Furs June auction continued with 95 % selling of White mink. The offering sold again at firm to increasing prices compared with most recent international levels.

Pearl mink was almost 100 % sold with big size males and females fetching slightly increasing prices while small size males were very firm. Good price premiums were again paid for the best velvet types. China dominated today’s buying with good support from Korea and Europe.

June 10, 2016: Saga’s Strong start for the mink sale

 

Saga Furs mink sale kicked-off strongly with 100 % selling of Sapphire males in a crowded auction room. The offering sold at clearly increasing prices compared with recent international levels. Sapphire females were also 100 % sold at advancing prices. The auction continued with a strong sale of Silverblue mink, and the offering was again 100 % sold at increasing prices. Good price premiums were paid for top quality skins.

China was the dominant buyer with good support from Europe and Korea. Russia was also active, especially on Sapphire males.

Day 2: Confidence Returns to Blue Fox market

 

Saga Furs June auction continued on second day with the selling of 650 000 certified Blue fox. The offering was 100 % sold to a full room of buyers competing actively for the skins. Blue Shadow fox was also 100 % sold under strong and widespread competition.

Buying was dominated by China with good support from Europe, Russia and Korea. Today’s sales result was welcomed by the customers and is believed to restore confidence in the Blue fox market.

Day 1: Saga Furs June auction started with Fox and Finnraccoon

 

Saga Furs June auction started on Wednesday June 8, with the selling of Finnraccoon. The offering was 80 % sold and the best goods fetched clear price premiums. Finnracoon was mainly purchased by the European fashion industry.

Continuing challenges in the Russian economy affected the fox sale, as Russia has been the main market for the fox types offered today. Silver fox was almost 80 % sold at 10-15 % easier prices compared with March levels. Blue Frost fox was also 80 % sold at 15 % easier prices.
