Paris Fashion Week – Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2014

04 March of 2014 by

In line with our SHADOW trend for next winter, at Givenchy we saw designer Riccardo Tisci create a dance between the opposing energies of innocence and seduction to create a beautiful collection that celebrated grown up elegance with air of subversion. Printed chiffon dresses and pussy-bow neck blouses lost their innocence when paired with strictly cut, masculine/feminine tailoring silhouettes and the sensual handle of fur for a modern femme fatale feel that mixed sophisticated luxury with predatory sexuality. “I wanted to celebrate a classicism and a chicness, elegance and femininity, and a grown up woman. And at the same time, a perversion.” – Riccardo Tisci

Standout piece – The leopard print coat with contrasting beaver collar and astrakhan waist detail was absolutely stunning and the pale blush fox coat with metal grommeted front was a showstopper. Gorgeous!!!
