NAFA & Hellenic Association of Furriers present The Excellence of Fur in Thessaloniki and Athens
In preparation for the Greek Young Designers Competition, more than 70 young designers and students were invited to attend The Excellence of Fur presentation, co-hosted by NAFA and the Hellenic Association of Furriers (HAF) in Thessaloniki and Athens. Kicking off in Thessaloniki on November 21 and again in Athens on November 22, the young audience of fur and fashion designers were invited to network with other like-minded peers in the business and explore a variety and top quality NAFA furs in an array of fur types and colours. Bobby Poulios, NAFA’s VP of Buyer Relations introduced the young designers to the company, presented on NAFA’s Heritage, global marketing initiatives, Studio NAFA and more. Professor Vasilis Kardasis also presented and shared words of inspiration around fur, design, craftsmanship and as he put it “the importance of allowing the first most natural textile in nature, to embrace us with its exotic, and most inimitable beauty.”
All of the designers who attended the workshops in Athens and Thessaloniki will participate in the Greek Young Designers Competition. The winners of this competition will be announced during the Athens Fur Fair in March 2018. Two talented winners from this contest will be awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Studio NAFA, summer 2018. NAFA is looking forward to seeing what these young designers and furriers will bring to the competition and what new talent will be discovered in this key fur market.
