Gracing the pages of major international fashion magazines this fall is NAFA 2015-2016 Designer Campaign, featuring model Josephine Skriver. Skriver can be recognized for her work with major fashion and beauty brands, such as Victoria’s Secret, Gucci, Max Mara, Michael Kors, and DKNY.
The full campaign includes some of the world’s leading authorities in fur garment design, including Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Gianfrano Ferré, and Guy Laroche Furs. Emerging creative talents joining fashion’s A list designers are Maurizio Braschi, Jung Dou, Farley Chatto, Sergey Efremov, Natalia Valevskaya, and Igor Gulyaev.
“Although each designer brought his or her own unique inspiration to the collection, the one aspect that they all share is that each garment was produced with NAFA’s highest quality furs,” said NAFA’s Creative director Cody Bokshowan. “We felt it was important to showcase each garment in a minimal white frame, so the design and the beauty of the furs could speak for themselves.”
The array of fur featured in the NAFA campaign reflect the ever-changing world of fashion while, at the same time, embrace the inherent grandeur of the fur itself. The same furbearers that society donned for centuries in shades of brown are now seen in colors that dazzle the eye. Sable, fisher, beaver and raccoon are brilliant in vibrant shades of blue, purple and burgundy. NAFA’s fine quality ranch mink and silver fox are the epitome of elegance in their natural tones and beguiling in fresh tints of pink, green and blue.
“The roots of our company go back some 345 years, and we wanted to include a subtle tribute to both our heritage and to the beautiful natural resources and landscapes that can be found throughout North America,” said NAFA’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Rob Cahill. “We were delighted to find these three elements showcased in perfect synergy when we discovered a glass boathouse in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, Canada. The house was actually built into the rock of the Canadian Shield surrounded by a natural forest, overlooking a beautiful lake that was once a major fur trade route for First Nations communities for hundreds of years.”
The campaign will run in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Numero and many more, in important markets including Russia, Kazakhstan, Korea, and China.
