On February 7, Warsaw hosted the jubilee 20th Farmer of the Year Contest, in which the owners of Bono Fur Farm were awarded the Farmer of the Year prize in the category of Special branches of agricultural production. The contest is held under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and is the most prestigious award for farmers in Poland. The Saga Furs auction house was one of the sponsors of the event.
Traditionally the gala was held in The Westin Hotel in Warsaw. This year’s jubilee event attracted more than 200 guests, including the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Kazimierz Plocke, and the Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of Poland, Dariusz Młotkiewicz. This year nearly 300 farmers from all over the country competed for this most honourable award of the Polish agricultural scene. Grzegorz Mieleńczuk and Mariusz Konieczny were awarded the “Golden Apple” statuette by Minister Plocke himself.
The primary goal of the contest is to promote modern agriculture and those agricultural producers whose ingenuity and initiative has allowed them to develop their farms to reach the highest, international level. The contest is organised by the “Polski Klub Rolnik Farmer Roku” Association, and the highest prize is awarded in nine different categories.
The gala was attended by the following Saga Furs representatives: Magnus Ljung, Ewa Kokkola, Małgorzata Sulik and Hubert Kujawski.
Saga Furs is proud of Bono Fur Farm’s success, which is the result of their perseverance, their innovative approach to breeding, and their professionalism in everything they do. Congratulations, Bono Fur Farm! We hope your future achievements in fur animal breeding will be equally spectacular.
